Products sold by Rennelement LLC ("Rennelement," "we," "our," or "us") are high-performance aftermarket automotive components. Unless expressly stated otherwise in writing, our products are intended for off-road, racing, competition, exhibition, or closed-course use only.
Many Rennelement products are not certified for use on public roads or emissions-controlled vehicles and may not comply with applicable federal, state, provincial, or local emissions laws, motor vehicle regulations, or inspection requirements, including regulations enforced by the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the California Air Resources Board (CARB), or other governmental authorities.
Customer Responsibility
By purchasing, possessing, installing, or using any Rennelement product, you acknowledge and agree that you are solely responsible for determining whether the product is legal for installation and operation on your vehicle under all applicable federal, state, provincial, and local laws.
This includes, but is not limited to:
- Emissions regulations
- Vehicle inspection requirements
- Registration requirements
- Highway-use restrictions
- Environmental regulations
- Local vehicle codes
Unless expressly identified in writing as street legal, emissions compliant, or covered by a valid CARB Executive Order (EO), Rennelement products are intended exclusively for vehicles operated in off-road, racing, competition, exhibition, or closed-course environments.
Rennelement makes no representation or warranty that any product may legally be installed or operated on a street-driven or emissions-controlled vehicle unless expressly stated in writing.
Professional Installation
Professional installation by a qualified automotive technician is strongly recommended.
Improper installation, incorrect tuning, misuse, aggressive driving, racing, inadequate maintenance, overheating, or use outside the intended application may result in:
- Product failure
- Engine or drivetrain damage
- Vehicle damage
- Loss of vehicle control
- Serious bodily injury
- Death
You assume all risks associated with the installation and use of aftermarket performance products.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Rennelement LLC and its owners, members, managers, officers, employees, contractors, agents, distributors, dealers, affiliates, suppliers, successors, and assigns shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to the purchase, installation, possession, transportation, resale, modification, misuse, or use of any Rennelement product.
This includes, without limitation:
- Vehicle damage
- Property damage
- Engine, turbocharger, transmission, or drivetrain damage
- Labor or installation costs
- Towing charges
- Storage fees
- Lost profits or business interruption
- Warranty denials
- Failed inspections
- Registration issues
- Emissions violations
- Government fines or penalties
- Personal injury
- Death
Indemnification
By purchasing, installing, or using any Rennelement product, you agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Rennelement LLC and its owners, members, managers, officers, employees, contractors, agents, distributors, dealers, affiliates, successors, suppliers, and assigns from and against any claims, liabilities, losses, damages, judgments, fines, penalties, governmental actions, costs, expenses, and reasonable attorneys' fees arising from or relating to:
- The installation or use of any Rennelement product;
- Any modification to a vehicle equipped with a Rennelement product;
- Any violation of applicable emissions, environmental, transportation, or vehicle laws;
- Your failure to comply with any applicable federal, state, provincial, or local laws or regulations.
California Emissions Notice
Certain Rennelement products are intended solely for competition racing vehicles and are not legal for sale or use on pollution-controlled motor vehicles unless expressly identified as emissions compliant.
Under California Health and Safety Code § 39048, a competition racing vehicle is one that is used exclusively for organized competition and is not operated on public highways. Such vehicles must be transported to and from racing events by trailer or other lawful means unless otherwise permitted by law.
Installing competition-only products on emissions-controlled vehicles may result in:
- Failed emissions inspections
- Registration denial or suspension
- Civil penalties or fines
- Other enforcement actions under applicable law
- Voiding of applicable manufacturer warranties
Customers are solely responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable emissions and vehicle regulations before purchasing or installing any product.
Acceptance of Terms
By purchasing, possessing, installing, or using any Rennelement product, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to this Off-Road Use, Emissions & Legal Compliance Disclaimer.
You further acknowledge that you assume all responsibility for determining the legality of any product's installation and use and agree to comply with all applicable federal, state, provincial, and local laws governing aftermarket automotive modifications.
